Better is it to hear the rebuke of someone wise

Than to be the person hearing the song of a fool.

Better to end a matter than to beginning one.

Better is one who is patient than one who is haughty in spirit.

Don’t hurry yourself to become offended.

Taking the offense is what rests in the bosom of that fool.

The advantage of wisdom is that wisdom preserves its owner.

There is no man righteous on earth

That keeps doing good, and don’t sin.

Also, do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak

you may not hear who’s calling evil down on you.

your own heart knows many times

Even you, have called down evil upon others.

To explore wisdom is the reason of things.

You are becoming wise today just from reading.

Discharge from war ? no escape for those indulging in it.

Dominated man to his own injury, being buried

On how he comes, and on how he goes.

Prolonging my days are just my shadows away.
