I don't watch much television, but when I do it's usually something on Comedy Central (South Park, various stand-up comedians etc.), or the Simpsons or King of the Hill.
Books
The last books I've read are Salad Days by Charles Romalotti, I, A Me-ist by Mykel Board, and The Heroin Diarids by Nikki Sixx. Other recommendations: Notes From The Nest by Kurt Brecht, And God Looked Away by M. Bevis and Surfing Armageddon by George Tabb. Other than that, all i read are fanzines (Short Fast & Loud, Maximumrocknroll, etc.) and various message boards (Relapse.com, Nolaunderground.com, Bayouunderground.com).
About me: I'm a 37 year old ironworker/'zine editor/bass player (Face First, motherfucker!) from New Orleans, Louisiana. I've been spreading the word about underground metal, hardcore, sludge, grindcore, etc. bands for the past 20 years through various fanzines (Thrashcore from 1988-1991, Paranoize from 1993 to present plus contributions to other 'zines and e-'zines), my very small, limited cdr label, tape/cdr trading, my website, and occasional booking (did occasional shows at Dixie Taverne from '98 to '05 and recently a few shows in '06 at The Outer Banks... I don't really do the booking thing anymore, but if the right opportunity comes up, I may come out of my self-imposed hiatus.) Why do I do it? Because of my passion for loud, noisy music and my desire to tell the world when I discover a band that brings out some sort of emotion in me. Yea, I suck at writing these things.
