Sounds Like
To me, a voice is a podium, or a sort of pulpit. It's not just a medium to sing songs with. A song is just words. I don't sing songs. I sing protests, epiphanies and catastrophes. Emotion is more than just love and heartbreak. With an eclectic worldview and unique method, Parisa gives a distinctive, revitalizing outlook on an industry bound by genres.
A born and bred New Yorker, Parisa began performing at age 3, when an astonished neighbor listened, through an open window, to the toddler belting out cartoon theme songs and lullabies early each morning. Over the years, Parisa refined and meticulously perfected her style and approach through years of training at a well-known New York performing arts school. It was her voice however, that has caught the ear of industry professionals nationwide.
The Voice.
Quaking yet calming. Commanding yet nurturing. It is Parisa's sound that allows her to so passionately tell her experiences, thoughts and ideas. It has been described as "a flawless look into both the harmony and restlessness of the human soul." Parisa refined her voice through countless live performances at New York University Basketball games and such industry-renowned venues as The Village Underground, constantly formulating and reconstructing her style through the real-time feedback resulting from a live audience. She says, "Its simple. A crowd doesn't lie, they don't hold anything back. If they like what they hear, they show approval. If they dont, it is silent. That silence, or the fear of it, is what drives me. If people are not feeling, deep in their hearts, what I sing, then I did something wrong."
Parisa's highly anticipated debut album, Intelegance, is scheduled to be released early 2008.

1. My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife; Marrying you screwed up my life.
2. I see your face when I am dreaming. That's why I always wake up screaming.
3. Kind, intelligent, loving and hot; This describes everything you are not.
4. Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss, But I only slept with you because I was pissed.
5. I thought that I could love no other; that is, until I met your brother.
6. Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.
7. I want to feel your sweet embrace... But don't take that paper bag off your face.
8. I love your smile, your face, and your eyes... Damn, I'm good at telling lies!
9. My love, you take my breath away. What have you stepped in to smell this way?
10. My feelings for you no words can tell, except for maybe 'Go to hell.'
11. What inspired this amorous rhyme? Two parts vodka, one part lime.
