BooksExcerpt from simpletruths.com:

Mary Kay Ash was loved by her people. She was the Founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, and passed away not long ago at 83 years old. I heard her speak about 20 years ago, and at the end of her speech she was asked, "What is the key to success in business?" She didn't hesitate when she said, "Make your people feel important." She truly understood that recognition is a need we all crave. There are no exceptions.Marcy Blochowiak understands this powerful principle as much as any leader I've ever met. And, most importantly...it comes from her heart. She has built a team of thousands by using a secret weapon: "Hire more women, and love them like family."In her beautiful book, No Glass Ceiling, Just Blue Sky, Marcy shares her story about leaving a secure job as a flight attendant to become an entrepreneur. She lays her heart on the line when she tells about overcoming fears and doubts to build a highly successful organization. She offers valuable insights on life balance, the power of choice, respecting others and removing the chains that bind you.In the time I've spent with Marcy and members of her team I could feel the love and respect they had for each other. She truly understands the power of kindness and compassion. She understands that companies don't succeed...people do.

About me:
Hi, my name is Paris Mano. Let me tell you a little bit about myself so you will know me better.

I am a business owner. My Yorkie, named Baxter, keeps me company and keeps me busy along with his friend, Job, a guinea pig. Baxter found him in our yard one day and we had to adopt him! Originally I lived in Delaware and in 1981 moved to Florida and planted my roots here.

As my marriage of 18 years was ending, I became concerned about how I was going to survive in the workplace. It had been many years since I worked but did have a background in real estate and office work. In the meantime I took a job working at the local flea market and of all things got the job of cleaning the bathrooms. Not really my “dream job” but I was able to work outside and enjoyed talking with the people. Because I did such a great job with the bathrooms, people noticed and asked if I cleaned homes. So that is how I got started in the cleaning business plus I knew that by owning my own business I could make my own hours and make as much or as little money as I wanted. What I didn’t realize is that I would no longer have any time for myself.

Work for me was now 7 days a week, 18 hours a day since I added cleaning offices at night. Financially I was able to survive but my life was out of balance. All the things I love to do and there was no time for them. Every day I walked through the garage and looked at my Corvette parked there wondering when I would be driving it. Before when I had a few spare minutes, I loved to do some abstract painting but that was no longer happening. Life was passing me by. I forgot what it was like to take some “me” time. So decision time was upon me.

The latter part of 2006, I decided that I was going to look for a home based business. I had tried several other businesses before in other network marketing industries but they really didn’t work out. I needed something that I could do using the internet. I love working on my computer and I almost always use the computer for shopping. I am not a mall person. When it comes time for Christmas shopping, I use my computer. Even in my everyday shopping, I see if there is a store online and purchase through them.

Now I need a product. What was I going to sell? I really wanted a product that everyone wanted and something that I didn’t have to talk someone into buying because it would make them feel better. I didn’t want to change their lifestyle.

Somehow I came across this home based candle business. I always have believed that things happen in your life for a reason and not by accident. Well the company was out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I had lived there when I was 18 and still have a very close friend who lives there. As things started falling into place, I just knew this was “my ship coming into the port!”

I could work from home. I didn’t have to meet any quotas. I didn’t have to change anyone’s lifestyle because most everyone loves candles and buys them either for their use or for gifts. The income potential was huge. Now I would have time to enjoy life. I could share my products and the opportunity with others. The most important thing was that I decided to jump in and go for it. The candle really did do all that it claimed to do and more.

If you haven’t had the income you would like to have or feel that you deserve or the time to enjoy the things you love in life, let’s  talk. Maybe this is the opportunity you have been looking and waiting for. You’ll never know unless you ask. So give me a call and let’s see if this fits into your lifestyle. I am looking for others to join me. Can’t you just hear opportunity knocking at the door!

Paris,
Welcome back. I know how you feel. When I go home I don't want to come back either - especially during times like this. Such a hard time that only time and God will heal.

Hi my friend i am back on line again have really missed every one. Hubby has gone back to work. We had a good two weeks went for a couple of drives which i really enjoyed. We got a lot done on the section, We dug the grass out of the middle of the drive and grass out in front of the house about 2 feet out from the patio and doug a big patch out for a barbecue area and put white chip in it looks really good, Just finished before it started to rain and it is still raining i think we have had enough every thing is so wet and muddy we need the sun to dry it out a bit. Well i am glad to be back now i can keep in touch with all of my online mates.
