Born to a Jamaican Mother and Jamaican-Indian Father this very independent hip hop queen has been taking the Underground Hip Hop Scene in the UK by storm for the past few years with her fiery yet still classy live performances and notable features on various Mix CDs & Singles up & down the land.
Growing up in Nottingham in the Derby Grove Rd Area (Lenton Radford) with her Mum & brother the young Pariz 1 was always noted as being very independent and boisterous as an individual. It was in this household that Pariz' first interest in music emerged, from listening and singing to classic soul and reggae songs from her mothers record collection including the likes of Al Green, Beres Hammond, Dennis Brown, Mary J Blige, she even being ever much the performer and creative soul that she is young Pariz even went as far as creating her own dance routines in her bedroom, practising whenever she had a free moment.
By the age of 12 Pariz had already devloped a healthy interest in the performance aspect of her drama classes, she started attending the ACNA Centre Studio in the St Anns area of Nottingham meeting up with her soon to be mentors the locally well-respected Trevor & Courtney Rose.
The Rose brothers, taught Pariz as she quotes everything she needed to know about the music scene and business as part of Seminars held for groups of young people in her community who wished get involved in something positive, creative and beneficial. It is this knowledge which Pariz
has carried forward as her foundation in the further development of her career.
When Pariz was aged 14 yrs, she followed and became part of Courtney's dream of setting up a studio for young people to create their own dreams, Pariz was the only female to complete the project Drugs Awareness Reality Knowledge (D.A.R.K), from a group of 11 boys & 5 girls.
Pariz first musical performances came as part of a singing trio formed with 2 friends from D.A.R.K. The trio performed at small shows around the city gaining experience.
In 1996 Pariz became musically acquainted with local rapper Kama kazi aka Legend who was tutoring rap classes at her local Youth Club and from attending his classes Pariz started taking a real interest in rap music, at first listening to the likes Mobb Deep, Nas, Roxanne Shante, MC Lyte & Lady of Rage. First reciting her favourite rhymes from the previously mentioned artists Pariz took things a stage further by penning her own rhymes and practising her delivery in the company of her mentors.
After a few months Pariz met some of the Rappers and the Road Manager from London Independent Record Label S.D.E. and it was during this chance meeting that Pariz made an opportunity for herself by persisting in showing the guys what she could do when performing her new found passion of rapping she blew them away with her rhymes. From this point Pariz was invited on many occasions to record with their various artists including the likes of Mike GLC. Pariz seeing the potential to develop then decided it was time for her to take the big step of moving to London to fulfil her own Street Dreams and eventually became signed to the label to embark on her recording career & to study at university.
Since this point Pariz has recorded her very first Mix CD "Uncomplicated Vision" which had an independent release Fearly 2006 through S.D.E., featuring the likes of Mike GLC, Johnny Gambles, V Dub, Lady Fury, J2K, Young Blood Militia, Corey Johnson & Ivy).
She has performed all over the country notably at:
1Xtras Hip Hop Weekender (alongside the likes of Moorish Delta 7, Rukus, and Baby J).
DJ Premiers Showcase Hosted by Choice FMs DJ 279.
Lil Kim Concert at The Forum.
Big Daddy Kane Concert.
Nelson Mandela Tribute at Shepherds Bush Empire which featured John Legend.

Pariz 1 is also championed by the likes DJ 279 (Choice FM), Rodney P & Skitz (BBC 1Xtra), Jay & Size (Invincible FM), DJ Shine & SK Vybmakers (Deja Vu FM).
Pariz has also done a host of features with other artists such as Estelle, DJ Skitz (1Xtra) & Tubby T.
