The Parkdale Funk Show is based out of Toronto Canada and is produced by DJ Double K. This groove controller will get you jumping with his bottomless selection of deep and heavy funk. His brand of neglected and forgotten soul and funk gems from the ’60s and ’70s is a true culinary feast for your ears. The site mainly focuses on soul, funk, jazz and reggae recordings that you’re unlikely to hear anywhere else. Click on the podcast link on the right side of the page and subscribe to Parkdale Funk.

Episode 31: The Funky Snack Mix
Wooah! It’s been some time since I put out a proper funk 45 mix. I’m sorry for the delay but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this one! After putting out the “New Funk” mix I decided that it is crucial that I keep supporting new artists on my show. So from now on, every podcast will feature at least one new artist. This episode features an amazing soul ballad from Willie West & The High Society Brothers, which are some of the members of the Soul Investigators. The mix has a track from Lee Fields from the Desco days, Big Joe Lewis & The Soul Investigators and the new Naomi Shelton 45 from the mighty Daptone Records. Plus the usual funk nuggets that you come to expect from Parkdale Funk. Sit back and grab yourself a snack, a funky snack!
All 45s!
Enjoy the funk!
