Park Evans is a Minneapolis based guitarist, composer, and teacher. Originally from Ithaca, New York he moved to Minnesota to study classical guitar and composition.
He currently performs in multiple bands ranging stylistically from jazz to rock to world music including: Charlie Devanna, These Modern Socks, Enormous Quartet, Battle Cat, Katie Gearty Band, Sophia Shorai Quartet, Quad Rhino, Fonster, The Park Evans Quartet, The Tampered Seals, TickleFight, and Inspirado.
He has released 2 cd’s of his original music (Impossible Party (2003), and Surviving Desire (2006)) and has worked as a studio musician on numerous recordings.
He has taught guitar lessons for the past 15 years and teaches out of studios in Minneapolis, Forest Lake, and Fridley. Paarrrk! How have you been man? I've gotten about 1000 times better at guitar and piano since September, it's crazy. I have a weekly group guitar class and then a guitar lesson, and a weekly piano and saxophone lesson. It's crazy. If you're still teaching this summer I'm sure I'll be back, and you'll probably be surprised :-0
