About me: Well, 2009 has arrived, and with it our 6th annual Parkville Microbrew Festival!
The Microbrew Fest will be held in English Landing Park (Parkville, MO) from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on May 2nd, 2009.
Admission will be $20, and includes a complementary tasting glass, tasting notes and samplings all afternoon from these local breweries. While food does not come with admission, it will be available to purchase at very reasonable prices.

Getting to the Festival:
From Johnson County, KS using I-635 - Using I-635 North, cross the Missouri River and exit on Highway 9 West just after the Argosy Casino. Park University and Parkville are only a couple of miles down Highway 9 along the Missouri River. As you enter Parkville on Highway 9, continue straight on East First Street. Take a left on Main Street and go over the railroad tracks. English Landing Park is on your left on English Landing Drive. Event staff will direct you from there.
From Johnson County, KS using I-435 - Using I-435 West and North, cross the Kansas and Missouri Rivers and exit on Highway 45 East. After a few miles you will intersect and turn South onto Highway 9. As you enter Parkville on Highway 9, continue straight on East First Street. Take a left on Main Street and go over the railroad tracks. English Landing Park is on your left on English Landing Drive. Event staff will direct you from there.
South of KC, using I-35 - Take I-35 North across the Missouri River and exit onto I-29 North. Exit onto Tom Watson Parkway or Highway 45 West to Highway 9 South. Downtown Parkville is about 1 mile South on Highway 9. As you enter Parkville on Highway 9, continue straight on East First Street. Take a left on Main Street and go over the railroad tracks. English Landing Park is on your left on English Landing Drive. Event staff will direct you from there.
From I-70 - Follow I-70 into Downtown KC and using either the Heart of America or Broadway Bridge, head North across the Missouri River. Then exit on Highway 9 West. Parkville Microbrew Fest 2009's Friend Space (Top 8)
Had another great time didn't get there in time to hear the first bands so had to listen to the last one twice. To bad though I wanted to see the Buttermilk Boys. All in all a rip roaring good time.
Had a great time up there last summer. Thanks for becoming a Friend of Maple Woods Nature Preserve. Watch for updates. Feel free to donate yout money, time, talents or goods to the project. Again thanks for caring about KC's wild spaces.
