Parkwright is a five piece rock band based out of Philadelphia. The band is made up of George Farrell on vocals, CJ Morgan on bass and vocals, Paul Hocynec on lead guitar, Chris "Wags" Wagner on guitar, and Chris Mehr on drums.
Having only been together for a year this young band has accomplished a great deal. Since the release of their self titled EP in November, 2008, Parkwright has garnered regional attention. The band has opened for the Plain White T's and the Ting Tings. They've headlined several college concerts and festivals, and have played many of Philadelphia's premier musical venues including; The Tin Angel, World Café Live and The North Star Bar.
Parkwright's sound is cross generational as its influences appeal to veterans, but the content, vigor and attitude gets the kids dancing. The band's live performance, fronted by the captivating Farrell, has an energy that rivals most. Their reputation for putting on a great show has preceded them. It's also put the band in that category of "You have got to see them live". Parkwright has started a brush fire made up of a constantly growing fan base, an intense work ethic and a passion that shows no signs of letting up.
