Paroxysm are a Death Metal/Metalcore band that are based around the surrounding suburbs of Eltham in Melbourne, Australia. They have had the opportunity to share the stage with some of Australia's best metal bands including Blood Duster, Terrorust, The Red Shore, Walk the Earth, Five Star Prison Cell, Synthetic Breed, Frankenbok & many more. With big things planned for 2008 you'll be sure to hear more of them in the future!
Reviews:
"Paroxysm are another great band spewing out of the Aussie metal scene. Hailing from Melbourne, the young band have cut their teeth supporting many of Aussies established metal acts and the fruits of their work can be heard on their debut album A Plague Called Addiction. Inspired by the likes of Meshuggah and All Shall Perish, they meld together brutal death metal, punishing grindcore and machine-like industrial metal, to produce real metal for real metalheads. Formed in 2003, the band offer a different angle on the relentless metal that the Aussie scene seems to be doing so well. Credit also goes to the band for encouraging the underground DIY ethic and, aside from the fact that their face melting metal is top drawer stuff, for their DIY ethic alone, these boys deserve your support."
Graham Finney from Planet-loud.com UK.
"...you'll probably agree (if you're a real metalhead) that this is some pretty decent material..." - Sam Fell on Paroxysm's new EP (INPRESS magazine, full article in pictures section).
