Parthenon is a band from Venezuela that was founded in 1979 by two school friends, drummer Juan Carlos Ballesta and keyboard player Robert Santamaría. After some time of activity one of the members, Victor Fiol left the band in order to join known Tempano and soon Parthenon disbanded.
Many years passed by and then the unexpected, the opportunity to record the music that was intended for a release during the early 80's.
Santamaria moved to Spain and founded there Amarok, Ballesta continued with several other proyects and has been seen playing with the space rock band "Sonda a Barnard"
Parthanon fue fundada por dos amigos de escuela, hacia 1979, Juan Carlos Ballesta y Robert Santamaria, luego de algun tiempo de actividad, tras la salida de Victor Fiol para pasara a formar parte de Tempano, la banda se separo.
Pasaron mas de dos decadas y por cosas del destino se presento la oportunidad de davolver a la vida el material musical que quedo sin grabar durante la etapa activa de la banda.
Santamaria se mudo a Espana y ahi fundo la hoy dia aclamada banda Amarok, Ballesta ha participado en varios proyectos y se le ha visto tocar con 'Sonda a Barnard"
