About A Pseudomusic EP
No human-playable instruments, no pre-programmed samples, not even a midi-controller. Just a mouse, a QWERTY keyboard, a few synths and far more hours than I care to remember. This EP was put together individual sound by individual sound, note by painstaking note. I call this: Pseudomusic. I’ve enjoyed making it, I hope you enjoy listening to it. Complaints not welcome. No refunds.

Those quote things…

‘More sense of musical rebellion in a single track than most indie bands can muster in a career’ - Jackie Hayden, Hotpress.

‘Partial Reptile does icy ambient at its most disturbing… its chills up the spine time… Combining the dark whimsy of early Genesis, the sparse electro throb of The Knife and the hushed viciousness of Nine Inch Nails… an indelible and gloomy glamour.’ - Overplay.com

oh, very nice. How was the studio session? I hope the mixes sound up to your standards. What's this album called? Still the same sort of industrial lullabies that make PR?

Studio tomorrow. it's with my band tzameti. Our first time recording together (we don't include the basement takes). It is a lot different than LQ. We mix elements of Doom Metal and Post Rock (my influence) and Metalcore (my drummer and rhythm guitarist's influence). It's a semi-unique sound. We use a lot of different time signatures and a sort of quiet/loud song structure. I'll be sure to let you know when mixes are finished. ha, maybe I'll even post one on Redfizz.

How's that place doing btw. I haven't been in months. I think my last post was a midi I wrote in grade 12 of a phrygian take on We Three Kings, released in time for Christmas.

I've been alright. My job is killing me, and they don't seem to appreciate my honest work ethic. I find it strange how that works.

My band is going into studio next week, finally. I'm really hoping shit works.

How have you been?

hey, is it possible that Bob's been around my neck of the woods too? He's played songs, and phrases until my head was spinning. Sometimes, backwards and forwards, until I wasn't even happy with little phrases and riffs. Don't worry tho, I got your back buddy. See ya on the fizz, hopefully.

of course, for now The Bye Byes recordings will still be mostly just me. And the drummer. I dunno, maybe I'll call my publishing company Itchy Brother Publishing.

I think you'll like these guys:

http://www.myspace.com/vosqq

I was supposed to play with them but back then they didn't know what they wanted so the programmer, Aron, and I did a little drone project for a while but that kind of fell apart too. Anyhow, they play like... Industrial Numetal with noise influence.
