Particle Accelerator is an annual benefit show in memory of our good friend Jack Young, who passed away way before his time. Jack was an amazing musican who loved to play. He was in many bands over the years... The Inanimate Carbon Rod, Moist Chicken, The Zells, The Legendary Jack Young...just to name a few. Those of you who knew him knew him for the talented, funny, kind hearted person he was, and his memory will live on through our stories of him.

The third annual benefit concert will take place at Brooklyn Fairgrounds on Rte. 169 in Brooklyn, CT. Doors will open at 11 am with performances taking place throughout the day and evening. Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. Vendors interested in participating can request information from info@particleaccelerator.org. They can also contact Eric Gould at 860-928-3422 or Grace Young at 860-428-3827. Bands who would like to know more about playing PARTICLE ACCELERATOR III may also use this contact information. Jack Young Jr. committed suicide on his 27th birthday in May of 2007. PARTICLE ACCELERATOR is an annual charity music festival held in his memory, and in his honor. Its purpose is to increase awareness of suicide and depression, and to promote music as a healthy alternative for young people. All proceeds will go to United Services, Inc. to provide assistance to those who lack insurance coverage for mental health services. PARTICLE ACCELERATOR III is expected to surpass the success that both Particle Accelerator I and II have already achieved. Returning bands White Rose Confession, Circadian Rhythm and The Rectangle Club will be joined by Stressbomb and many more. Local bands are encouraged to join the performance. “We all say, ‘oh, no, not MY son,... not OUR family...’ but the truth is, depression and suicide can affect anyone and everyone,” said Grace
