In the band's words, here's how it all began...
January 1997 Runston Parva had their first practice at mainline rehearsal studio in Leeds... Don't look for it, it's not there any more.
Summer 1997 Runston Parva play their first gig at the Duchess in Leeds... Don't look for it, it's not there any more.
December 1999 Runston Parva play what was to be their final gig, at Joseph's Well in Leeds.
February 2000 Runston Parva officially collapse due to bad songs and poor time keeping. Simon is quickly drafted in on bass, soon to be followed by Nick Baines on guitar and keyboards.
November 2000 Parva are born. Gone is the Runston and the bad songs and to celebrate the band do their first gig at the Fenton in Leeds. It was packed.
February 2001 Parva play the first of their showcase gigs at Joseph's Well, Mantra Recordings were there and offered us a deal. We accepted after a bit.
22nd June 2001 Parva went to London and signed with Mantra. Then a week later went to London again to sign a publishing deal with Rondor.
