PARZIVALS EYE: „Fragments“These days there seems to be no other band which delights its numerous fans with more musical output than RPWL. Since 2000 the Freising-based artrock group has released seven albums, one better than the other, with the last release dating back only one year. Since then “The RPWL Experience“ (that is actually the album title) took another course: Guitarist Kalle Wallner released two albums and now, RPWL bassist Chris Postl launches his first solodisc. .
For his ambitious project “Parzival's Eye“ he got support from illustrous musicians, among them the voices of Christina Booth (Magenta) and Alan Reed (Pallas). But the best is yet to come: Alan-Parsons-Project guitarist Ian Bairnson took care of the fiery guitar solos. “I've always loved the Parsons albums, so he is maybe my most-played guitarplayer“, says Postl. “After I had sent him a demo, he agreed immediately to play on the album, so I asked him to listen through all the material and to pick his favourite passages. Never had I expected that he'd pick that many.“
But he could have. Postl's high-quality songs breathe new life into seventies's meloprog in a way that is as original as pristine and destined for a collaboration with the Scottish string specialist. And so it is no wonder that he graced four tracks with his unique playing. The remaining guitar work comes from Postl himself, who also played -besides his main instrument- keys and guitar on “Fragments“, and the renowned studio guitarist Ossi Schaller.

Hi Chris und Band! Danke für die 2 tollen gigs in Holland! Live ist es noch viel besser als auf CD! Was mich besonders beeindruckt hat . du kannst echt gut mit dem Publikum "spielen" ! Na wer da nicht mitgeht!? Ich freue mich schon auf dein nächstes Projekt! Lieben Dank auch für die Freundlichkeit und ein riesen Lob an deine bessere Hälfte! Ich habe die 2 Tage sehr genossen und freue mich auf ein Wiedersehen und - hören natürlich! Ihr seit echt klasse! So genug nun mit den Komplimenten! Ich hoffe , ihr seit gut nach Hause gekommen!
Chris und Band, Danke für den fabulous Gig am Samstag. Den Band war wirklich Spitzenklasse, der Ulli is ein kleines Genie... unglaublich was der macht. Ich habe Ian Bairnson un die Christina nicht vermisst, den Ulli und Evi sind Top. Und es immer schön um den Jogi Wakeman-Wright hinter die Tasten zu hören. Ich höffe in das nächsten Jahr einen neuen Langspielplatte oder cd von dich PE zu hören und dan einen Tour, aber nicht mehr in Kerkrade.... ;-)

Den Song "Fragments" habe ich auf einem Sampler des Musik Magazins "Empire" gefunden und ich bin beeindruckt.Tolles Stück mit leisen und krachenden Momenten, gefällt mir.
Ich hoffe, es gibt mal die Chance euch live zu sehen. RPWL und auch Blind Ego haben ja ihre Visitenkarte schon mal in Hamburg vorgezeigt. Waren tolle Abende.
