Pasi Pitkänen (24th of April 1984) is a Finnish composer. He started composing music in the late 90's with audio trackers (Scream Tracker, Impulse Tracker). Ever since he has experimented with different music genres from electronic to rock.
In the autumn of 2008 Pasi oriented himself towards composing music for film, tv, games and other media. In the beginning of 2009 he slowly gained projects from the Finnish independent movie groups and to this day continues to work with various movie groups, artists and companies.
Pasi's music could be described as a blend of atmospheric, orchestral and electronic music. He is fond of percussive instruments and they are usually the driving force in his music. As his main tools for composing he uses Cubase and a collection of different sample libraries. If he has a chance to use and record live players / instruments he does not hesitate to do so.
In the autumn of 2009 Pasi started his 'Digital Sound and Commercial Music' studies in Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

We'll really appreciate your enthusiasm and we listened to your work and we're very impressed! The producer Eddie Phoenix talk and write finnish but I write better english than finnish. I do speak finnish of course. My mothers tongue is swedish :) Our short movie Nightmare is already in post-production and the music has been made but Rise of Legion really need a strong soundtrack and we do think that you could be our composer :) We'll start filming hopefully this autumn and spring and summer 2010. We should absolutely try to meet sometime. We live in Karjaa, south of Helsinki. So maybe we could sometime meet somewhere in between Helsinki and Oulu. Thank you again for your interest :)

I have 4 kids and 2 grown up kids, I'm always busy. More than what I like. And now that Christmas is coming...life just isn't the same. It's a bit more hectic. But starting Jan 5, 2009 Brooke starts pre-school for 4 days a week from 8-11. Poor Kaden isn't going to know what to do with himself.
