Since the very beginning the band has played psychedelic and groove-oriented improvised music in the tradition of bands like Can or Embryo. Since 1997 they started to mixed their spontanious compositions with contemporary Dub, electronic Dance- and Experimentalmusic, World- and Ambientmusic, and influences from New Wave and the Avantgarde of the early 80ies. The result is a unique and very complex sound. The instruments they use are sampling-units and other electronical devices,computers, classical rock- instruments, plastic-toys and folkloristic instruments from all over the world,. When they play under studio-conditions (which is also done live quite frequently) mostly strange, hypnotic and filigrane songs or soundscapes emerge, in contrast to a gig with rock backline where the improvisations rather turn into dense and pulsing psychedelic structures. On many occasions the band combines their concerts with art-happenings like performances,exhibitions or slide- and film-projections.

Psychedelectronic Improvisations
follows the principle of spontaneous composing since over 12 years now, and has never played one song twice during that time. The band plays without musical agreements, without repertoire, without fixed strategies, but yet clear musical structures evolve.

Psychedelectronic Improvisations
verfolgt seit über einem Jahrzehnt das Konzept der Spontankomposition, und hat in dieser Zeit nicht einen Song zweimal gespielt. Passierzettel spielen ohne musikalische Absprachen, ohne Repertoire, ohne fixierte Strategien, und dennoch entstehen immer wieder klare musikalische Strukturen und Songs aus der anarchischen Selbstorganisation der Musik.

Die Band wurde Mitte der 80er Jahre von Thomas Siebert und dem Bassisten Sven Wulf gegründet. Seit 1997 bestehen Passierzettel im Kern aus dem Trio Thomas Siebert (Gitarre, Keyboard, iPad), Martin Pozdrowicz (Percussion, Sampler) und Thomas Piesbergen (Stimme, Sampler, Computer). Zu den zahlreichen Gastmusikern, mit denen sie in den letzten Jahren auftraten, zählte unter anderem Damo Suzuki (Can), mit dem sie 2004 und 2005 eine Reihe von Konzerten gaben. Von 2006 bis 2009 gehörte Lothar Meid (Amon Düül 2, Doldingers Passport, Embryo) zur festen Besetzung von Passierzettel. Derzeit wird das Kerntrio erweitert durch Sven Wulf (Bass), Maic Walther (Saxophon, Flöte, Percussion, Obertongesang) und Bernd Lewandowski (Gitarre).........
