Soul school flavor best describes Pass the Peas. Their collective enthusiasm, devotion and passion for music are instantly recognizable as they pour out their hearts during each performance. They enjoy a stable, down-to-earth quality that generates appeal to a wide-opened audience; while their grooves and catchy lyrics are, by any standard, proof of hard work and compassion.
Teresa Lavender fronts the band and takes pride watching Pass the Peas, progress and grow. Lavenders vocals and guitar work are signature elements woven into the heart and soul of the band. Being Pass the Peas primary writer, Lavender is confident and certain each listener will find reflection and connection with each tune.
The man responsible for putting the funk in the trunk is drummer, David Angeloff. David smoothly navigates the exciting display of power behind the band with his own touch of zest and flavor.
Rounding out the low-end duo with David is bassist, Brian Spinks....Big Daddy. Brians impressive, definitive grooves fuel the band to its most soulful core.
Lavender expresses; We really enjoy what we do. Our original tunes have been well received, and it is quite flattering and exciting when someone request one. Along with our originals we will play anything from an old country tune straight into a Blondie tune. Variety is what works best for this band. After all, music is what makes the world go around.
