AUDIO ENGINEERING:
One of my favorite hobbies is audio engineering and I co-owned and operated New Creation Recording Studio from 1982 to 1989
♦ Configured and installed two live sound systems for Cornerstone in 1990 and 1998
♦ Freelanced as engineer for Sound House Studios, Craig Bunch Music and others since 1989
♦ Recorded various demos and albums for starting artists since 1982
♦ Designed, installed and managed multi-track project studio for Cornerstone since 1995
♦ Advised in the system and studio designs for Castle Theater and various church systems since 1997
♦ Enjoy working in digital audio, digital editing software, and digital mastering
♦ Served as full voting member of Audio Engineering Society 1998-2003 INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC:
Music has always been a big deal in my life, and I worked in professional environments playing clarinet & saxophone since 1980
♦ Experienced in jazz and pop styles, orchestral, light opera, musical theater, and sound track recordings
♦ Studied under the instruction of Kalman Bloch from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra 1977-1980
♦ Served as principle clarinetist in the CSUF University Wind Ensemble from 1978 to 1980
♦ Played 1st Tenor Sax in the CSUF Morning Jazz Band from 1979 to 1980
♦ Performed with the City of Fullerton Civic Light Opera Company from 1979 to 1980
♦ Toured with contemporary Christian group Donna Kaye & Company from 1982 to 1989 TEACHING & PRODUCTION:
Teaching and equipping are what I do most of the time, and I've enjoyed directing worship bands, adult choirs, small groups, and concerts since 1986
♦ Studied conducting at the graduate level under Dr. Gary Bonner at Azusa Pacific University 1992-1994
♦ Produced 17 musical drama presentations and 10 Christian music albums
♦ Enjoy creating lead sheets, piano and choral arranging using music software and scoring programs
♦ Compiled curriculum and taught two 20-week courses on basic recording engineering
♦ Taught 12-week course on music fundamentals ♦ I like working with MIDI instruments like my WX-7.

About me: I am the Executive Pastor for a local church in Southern California. I play sax and clarinet, enjoy audio engineering, and church administration. My other interests include recording engineering at Bill Underwood Studios, and sometimes I do sound system evaluation and diagnostics for local churches. I enjoy date lunches with my wife, singing harmony with my daughters, decaf in the morning, pizza and a video, camping at Bass Lake, big band jazz, and building computers. My mountain bike still has two flat tires, but walking works for now. ..
Who I'd like to meet: My purpose in life is to grow in the knowledge of Christ, becoming more like Him, and to help my wife and children do the same, as well as all those the Lord brings me into contact with. My goal is to always set my heart upon the Lord and to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead in ministry and life, accepting the challenges with excitement and joy.

the belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.
yeah i have a whole list of stuff from guitar center including 5 vocal mics of 3 different flavors, a set of drum mics, the laptop, interface, cables, and monitors, and that alone was around 8,000 i still need guitar amps, etc.
that is a sad day. i'm going to be putting a studio together soon. i've got my eye on a new mac-book pro, an 8 channel digitech interface and the mid level protools software. it's evil how expensive the stuff can be but, eh, you can't get very good sound using really cheap equipment.

the funny thing is is that santa still comes to our house. he fills our stockings and leaves us a present. a tradition that we still havent forgoten. i hope you had a good christmas!
