Christ, recovery, Sci-fi in general, and Trek / BSG specifically,
hot and spicy food, music, and Linux / FOSS software.
Music
All kinds - I'm a musician, and have released two projects. I sing, play a few instruments, and write / arrange my own stuff. As far as listening goes, I've got a wide range of tastes - just mostly not twangy country music or hardcore gangsta rap. As long as it's got good harmonies, I'll probably listen to it all the way through once...
Movies
I like film. I've even been a children's video done by the executive producer of Fantasy Island. *I think that gives me a Bacon Number of only 3.* Mostly sci-fi, comedies, action, some drama... NOT slasher/gore films.
Television
I'm hooked on a soap opera - Battlestar Galactica. I'm also liking a lot of the CBS dramas - the CSI series, Criminal Minds, The Unit...
Books
I read like crazy, and have thousands of books in my home and office. There's just not enough room to list favorite authors here.
Genres I like: sci-fi, speculative fiction, history, mystery, how-to books, spiritual books from 18th-20th century (not really into the current "spiritual" stuff being printed these days).
Heroes
I've caught up on all the episodes on NBC, and I'm liking this new series a lot...
oh, my personal heroes? Any person who keeps their word, holds to their honor, sticks to their morals and follows their passion is a hero in my book...
About me:
I'm the director of Youth / Children's ministries at First Presbyterian Church in Snohomish, WA. I'm nuts about Jesus, my family, hot and spicy food, music, and Linux (but not necessarily in that order).
Oh, and for some added insight, here's a weird video from my past...
Who I'd like to meet: most people for lunch, Jesus, the apostles, the band Avion, John Calvin, Billy Graham, Jerome, Athanasius, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington Carver, Nicolae Tesla, Linus Torvalds, and a bunch of other people.
I am not very good at this myspace stuff but the band just let me know that you had contacted me and here I am. The best way to reach me is jslovejoy41@aol.com or call me at 360-281-6745. Would love to hear from you as I will hopefully be in Tacoma next weekend as Dad and Wynter are both in the hospital with Cancer as it is a very sad time for our families as they are 80 & 86...Appears that you are doing well and I am so glad as you were always a great friend to me through thick & thin as you were always there for me as we both struggled through some tough times together when we were kids. Look forward to hearing from you....Take care- Jeffrey S. Lovejoy

I remember that red little car from your video and it being my first attempt to drive a stick... good thing i didnt quit in the middle of that intersection ;)
Ed~ I would love to come up every once in a while, but it takes me almost an hour, and I have to work at 7 in the morning the next day almost every week. If there are specific times you would like me to help, please let me know. Maybe on a once a month basis?
