Thanks to all my friends who have helped me record these songs. Believe it or not I recorded most of my songs in my living room. Forgive me if I forget anyone. I assure you it in no way reflects on your performance. :->

I grew up in church, but serving Jesus didn't really make sense until High School. Shortly after that I began leading worship for my youth group (thanks, Joe, for the gentle pushing). It was at that time that I first began feeling God may have destined me for a life of worship & music. I started writing songs just as a response to God's grace and goodness in my life. When the light bulb finally did go on, I couldn't believe God would extend His grace and mercy, even when I wasn't looking. This idea inspired many songs, most of which will never see the light of day.
I still love to write songs as a response to God, but as I've matured and persevered through life's ups and downs, some of my songs have turned out to be a prayer to God...a surrendering into His hands. One thing remains the same: God's love, grace & mercy still extends to meet me where I am (and you too)!
My hope is that God is blessed by these songs and that those who sing them experience a new revelation of God's power in their lives. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen - 1 Tim 1:17
There are more songs, but these are a few of my favorites. If you would like to hear more songs or you would like a chart, visit my website: www.kevinwestmusic.net

Hello! I am doing good, but finals are next week, so I'm a little stressed :/ How are you doing? And yes, I am going to get to see Grandma! My parents are coming to Norman (where I live) on Sunday to help me get some of my stuff moved out of the dorms and she is coming with them so that will be really good! I am very excited to see her and my parents! I just wish I could be home when she is there and actually get to spend more time with her, but it isn't going to happen this time.
As we are about to celebrate Easter, I wanted to send You the lyrics of a song I wrote a long time ago as a reminder of God´s unconditional love.
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
For there can´t be a greater love than to lay down your life for a friend
The wheel of history´s turning, as he forgives in pain
In meekness and humility there dies the son of man
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a priceless treasure, not a billion words could explain
He´s called “a friend of sinners”, though he is pure in heart
If he was not a sinner´s friend, my friend he could not be
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a God of mercy, amazing is his grace
With words of deep affection He is knocking at my door
That I might listen and adore the greatest friend of all

I´m just stopping by to send a little encouragement from the scriptures - those verses just struck me tonite ... :-))
Therefore we do not loose heart! Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal...
It is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come!!! (2. Cor 4,16 ff.)
Take courage and have a great week!!
Cheers and Blessings!
