Katrina survivors struggle years after hurricane ..
Music
My roots are in New Orleans. In the sixties and seventies, we were introduced to the best here. All southern rock eminating from Georgia,Alabama, and Florida. My oldest son got us Allman Brothers Band tickets for Jackson MS a few months before Katrina. Took the Firebird up there to see em. Remarked to my son, "I'll bet we're the only one's in here not stoned." The Brothers were out the box that night though...flat awesome. Skynyrd wasn't bad either. Let me see, Frogman Henry, Professor Longhair, Alan Toussaint, The Meters, THE WILD MAGNOLIAS (yeah), uptown allstars, Groove Holmes, Lenny Dee,Fats, Ray Charles,Wet Willie, The Beatles, Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini,Clapton, Stevie Winwood, Pink Floyd, Yes, Emerson,Lake, and Palmer, and many more on this seven record set.
Movies
Brother where art thou?, Raisin'Arizona, That Thing You Do,
Independance Day,Lost in America, Surf's Up (great movie)
Television
Give me high definition or give me def.
Everything else pretty much stinks...think weather channel.
Get a brain folks, its all the same stuff...I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.

About me: joy fellowship slidell ..
I am among the most blessed men alive. I am married to one of the most beautiful women on earth, I have six marvelous children, two beautiful granddaughters, two handsome and talented sons-in-law, and an awesome personality plus daughter-in-law. I pastor a small but growing (in all ways) congregation in Slidell, LA, and I have my health for the most part. God saw fit to send a wonderful Jesus whom all of my children love and serve. My wife and I spend a great deal of time with kids and dear friends constantly making new memories. As an artist, I have had a fifty four year love affair with music focussing mainly on Piano,Organ, and guitars. I have also had a somewhat glancing relationship with woodwinds, although I have never had the desire to re-establish my craft there. As a husband and dad, I think there is nothing like vacations with family. I love to visit the beach or the mountains with my wife and kids. We love to take in theme parks and zoos as well as an occasional craft tour. We are equally at home with Lazer Tag as we are on the ragin river raft ride at Dollywood. Being a life resident of Slidell,(and I mean ALL of my life)I am an affecianado of local history and lore, having a family that roots back to the 1700s here. Some guys get into RVs at our age, others into motorcycles. I have this 1996 Pontiac Firebird...bright red, that I keep in the driveway in need of repairs. When she runs, I take the hatch roof panels off and enjoy the ozone. When it doesn't run, I enjoy looking at it in the driveway. Of everything, I love my relationship with My Lord, Jesus. He is the one who has given me everything and asked nothing from me. To Him be the Glory for all who I am today, and who I will become tomorrow. Peace.

Greetings . . . have you ever wondered, what would a Batman movie look like, if we @ “The Jason Johnson Experience” created a Batman movie? Well, we have found this clip of an old Filipino movie titled Alyas Batman en Robin. Our show endorses this movie as the best Batman movie ever created. In fact, if we created a Batman movie, I guess you could say, it would probably look something like this masterpiece! If you are fans of our work, chances are you will agree with us. Here is a YouTube link for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

Thanks for letting me play in church today. That song is a personal favorite although I didn't write it. I was serious about having you play organ on my CD whenever I get the funds to produce it.
That church of yours is amazing. On the way home, one of your congregation members from Slidell, the black electrician (can't remember his name!) dropped my groceries off. The electrician mentioned that you folks are trying to create a studio of some kind near where I live. I think he said a film or video studio. PLEASE COUNT ME IN on this! I've been praying for a very long time to be able to get involved in a faith based project of this kind. Besides my music, I also do still and video photography, acting and am pretty good on a mixing board once I know the equipment. I don't think I could have planned THIS better ... but God knows my needs, and yours.
Lynn Magnuson New Orleans, LA.
P.S. Thanks for putting the TRUTH about the homeless and Katrina on your web page. Someone needs to tell the real story!

I’m happy to tell you that I’ll be performing live on March 11, 2009 around 6:15 PM (this coming Wednesday). See my blog on myspace for further details on the event! I hope you see you there!
Thanks for taking the time to listen to my music and to leave such an in depth review! You’re exactly the type of person I write music for and it’s good to see that there are like minded people out there. I hope this day finds you well and feel free to stop by anytime!
If anyone should wonder, that song you are hearing, "Oh babe what would you say?" is by a guy named Norman Smith, aka Hurricane Smith. He was a British recording engineer in the late fifties and through the sixties. He became friends with Sir Geoff Emerick and Sir George Martin after responding to an ad in the paper for a studio position. He had just left the Royal Air Force as a pilot and needed a new career. As it turns out, he was the chief recording engineer on the first one hundred eighty Beatles records until he left to do some recording on his own. He remained close friends with the gang at Abbey Road and EMI as well as John,Paul,George, and Ringo. This song was Number one in 1973 on both the Cashbox and Billboard charts, knocking Elton John's "Crocodile Rock" from its number one position. He passed away in March of this year.
