Pat McGrath is on the forefront of beauty and fashion and creates influential looks that inspire other makeup artists to launch trends. Her approach to beauty combines radical innovation with expert makeup artistry, which makes her a favorite among today's top designers, models and celebrities.
Pat's avant-garde, creative vision traces back to the fashion-inspired foundation of her youth. Born in Northampton, England, she was raised in a family where fashion was an obsession. She developed a fascination for beauty at a very young age.
Pat's artistic voyage through the world of beauty began 17 years ago, and since then her renowned, cutting-edge work has been showcased in international fashion magazines and runways. Her defining moment occurred in the mid 1990s when she signed on to create the makeup concepts for Prada and Miu Miu, a collaboration that continued for 10 seasons. Since then, her hallmark has been dewdrop skinned faces, irradiated with light and moisture.
Today, Pat designs catwalk beauty looks on Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Maggie Rizer and other supermodels. She works with the world's most sought-after designers, including Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Viktor & Rolf and Stella McCartney. Additionally, she is a favorite among Hollywood stars, such as Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Madonna and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Pat's latest venture is a partnership with the New MAX Factor. In her role as the U.S. Color Cosmetics Creative Design Director for Procter & Gamble, she leads the creative design and development of the company's color cosmetics.
Most recently, Pat's exceptional forward-thinking vision led to the design and creation of the new MAX Factor line and the looks for Carmen Electra in the brand's new campaign in print, on television and online.
