The Patmos Brothers Revival consists of Joe Patmos, Andy Patmos, Drew Barnes and David Lee Black. Drawing from a wide range of influences they combine old time country, bluegrass, blues, rockabilly and many other styles to create a high energy sound.
INDIVIDUAL BIOS
Each member of PBR is unique and contributes a wide range of knowledge and influences, some of which are only just beginning to appear in the overall sound of the band.
Joe has worked in several bands, including Fat Thomas and Groofus, playing guitar and contributing vocals. In recent years the mandolin has become his main instrument and in addition to this Joe also contributes vocals and his song writing skills to the band.
Andy has worked in several bands over the years, including the Maple Sugar Gang, Anything Goes, and the Lockhart Mtn. Boys. His main role in PBR is on guitar, harp and vocals, but on occasion he is still seen pickin’ his banjo and other instruments he has learned over the years.
Drew has been playing bass for years and has played in several bands from Colorado to Rhode Island, including Fat Thomas with Joe. In addition to bass Drew also contributes to the vocals.
David Lee Black is an accomplished musician and composer in the New England music and theater scene, David's music credits include conducting an award winning jazz and symphonic band, serving as Music Director for the Department of Interior's Orchestrations Exhibit in Boston and Washington D.C., performing and recording with The McCoy Brothers, Jumpin Juba (Bone'less Records), Natural Toy (Studio A Productions), Tractor (Lakewest Records), The Brian Scott Quartet, Hydrant, The Patmos Brothers Revival, and other ensembles. David has also produced and performed an original project, "Blackshack" (Vincent Productions) and has appeared in a number of performance art and theatrical stage productions.
