With soaring vocals and boundless energy, Patrice Peris is a cut above the rest. A self-described “mess of glamour with some funk and edge,” this R&B songstress is poised to crash the charts. She’s got the power of Christina Aguilera, the grittiness of Fergie and Rihanna, and the lyrical command of Alicia Keyes. But make no mistake—Patrice Peris is her own soul.
Little girl with a big voice—that was the childhood reputation of this Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, native, who poured her heart into vocal and acting lessons. She later earned a theater degree from UMass, and then amped up her formal training to pursue her dream.
Now she’s owning the stage in gig after gig across New England. “I work hard for my audience. It’s a high-energy show filled with some dancing and lots of action,” says the down-to-earth siren. Highlights include singing the national anthem before 4,000 people at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts; the Topsfield Fair, a top draw in New England; Boston hotspot Felt; the Winter Special Olympics; the 3-Day Walk for Cancer in Boston; and the Cape Cod Cranberry Festival.
Her music has hit the airwaves of Boston’s Kiss 108-FM and other regional stations, and press mentions include Pulse Magazine and International Artist Debut Radio. Now Europe is catching on, with a top German DJ spinning her tracks. She even earned a private audition for the CW reality show “Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.”
Patrice is currently recording her debut album with producer/writer Ric Poulin of Bristol Entertainment in Boston. As co-writer, she’s making each song her perfectionist own, with tracks including the seductive ballad “The Way You Love Me” and the grooving dance jam “Forbidden Love” She’s hungry for a record deal, but even more than that:
“I want to continue to evolve as an artist. Once I’ve achieved one goal, it’s onto the next. This time always needs to be better than the last.”
