  • Music

Very eclectic - think old rock and roll to swing and beyond.

There's music in the sighing of a reed; There's music in the gushing of a rill; There's music in all things, if men had ears: Their earth is but an echo of the spheres.

*** FUSION RECIPE OF THE WEEK ***

ROASTED SWEET PEPPER AND TOMATO SOUP

1 container of cherry tomatoes; about 8 small red potatoes quartered; 10 little onions (the sweeter the better) - peeled; 1 red, green, yellow, and orange pepper seeded and sliced in half; 1 bag baby carrots; several garlic cloves (your tastes); olive oil; Mrs. Dash; chicken stock; 1 can tomato soup; peas; sour cream; parmesian cheese (garnish optional)

braise all your vegetables and garlic with olive oil and spices at 450 until golden brown. Cool. Take half and puree them; the other half get diced. Add the puree to chicken stock mixed with tomato soup (about twice as much stock to the soup can size). Toss in peas and chunky vegetables. Simmer for about 40 minutes on low to incorporate flavors (add salt, pepper and basil as needed)

For those who are not vegetarian, ground sausage that's pre-cooked and drained of oil makes a very yummerly addition

Remember: it's ok to play with your food and dance in the kitchen! Peace!

About me:

I am 49 years old, been married 23 years, have three children, four cats, and two dogs. I love working in the garden and making gourmet food when I'm not writing or working (smile). I've written 65 books and hope for more opportunities in the future. In the meanwhile I am available as a writer, researcher, and virtual secretary. Feel free to send me a note if you'd like a quote. You can visit my homepage at www.loresinger.com to see all my books and enjoy the online store (complete with gift certificates, readings, and more!).

CURRENT MOON

Who I'd like to meet:

Many of the people I would like to meet have sadly left this earth. Those remaining include many people I don't even know -- those that work behind the scenes to make this world a better place. Additionally I would love to meet Oprah; Mario Batali (IMO one of the greatest names in modern culinary history); Guy Fieri (ok, so I'm a huge FN fan who also happens to be a "home gourmet chef"); the cast of StarGate; Adrian Paul; Debra Messing; Sean Connery; more to come...............
