Hey Patty, what's up little brother? I hear that you've talked to some folks at ASU. Are you moving back into 8 East? Still no car yet, huh? How 'bout a cell phone? I'll try giving you a call later so we can catch up for real. Love ya!
Hiya Patty! Glad to hear that you're having a good trip and haven't become a drug mule in Colombia.
I'm actually flying into Phx next Friday, 5/23, and driving with Amy and Shaunie out to San Diego to spend Memorial Day weekend with the girls. We'll be driving back to Phx on Monday, 5/26, and I'm spending the night at home then flying out Tuesday morning, so we'll have a little time to catch up (maybe hit The Vine, who knows?!).
Can't wait to hear all your stories. You know, Colorado would still be a great place for you to come live!!
So I read somewhere that the NFL donates all the clothing from the losing team in the Super Bowl to third world countries. I'm just wondering if you've seen any "Patriots - Super Bowl Champs" and "19 - 0" shirts down there??
Hope things are going well. I'm heading home for part of spring break, should be fun to catch a couple spring training games and soak up the sun. I'll talk to you soon, little brother!
Happy Thanksgiving buddy! Hope all is well and looking forward to you coming back for good. P.S.... somebody's hacking your shit, so change your password cause if I get another "my friend emily saw your pics...." comment from you... well, It wont be pretty haha
Okay, so I've decided that we need to be on "The Amazing Race". We would be an unbeatable team. Think about it...with your Spanish speaking skills, manual car driving abilities, and willingness to eat anything and my charm, competitive spirit, and bossy nature no one could stop us!
I think we should film an audition tape when I'm in Honduras. :)
I put a couple of pictures up of you under Family Fun. Hopefully you won't feel so left out now! We'll get some more good ones when I see you in two weeks. :)
you know, that is SOO good to hear, and it really made my day because I spoke to him a few times through email but I hadn't heard anything about him or what he was working on. It just makes me feel good, that if I cant be there, someone good can be in my place.
But oh yeah, I went to a RPCV event yesterday, met the new Peace Corps Director who seemed pretty well-intentioned (and is actually an RPCV himself, only the 3rd during the 40+ years of the PC), met a bunch of cool RPCVs that live in the Miami area, got roped into being on the Board for the RPCVs of South Florida group that put this event on, and got interviewed by the Miami Herald about my PC experience! I havent seen the paper yet, but hopefully they included more than a sentence of what I had to say...but I couldnt have spoken truer words to her(emphasizing that if you are interested, to really look into it, and about the deaths associated to waterborne disease each year that most people DONT know about unfortunately), so hopefully she pulls something good from my words.
