Patrick Carter

Patrick Carter works as an art director at The Kurtis Group an advertising agency in Jax Beach FL. Specializing in print and web development, he has experience in a wide array of industries including residential and commercial real estate, heath care, food and beverage, retail, sports and entertainment, and more. Patrick has several years of art direction experience from another well known Jacksonville agency, and has an emphasis on attention to detail, along with a focus on superior client relations. Patrick is a lifelong resident of the Jacksonville Beaches community and graduated from Fletcher high school in Neptune Beach, FL. He graduated at the top of his class from UNF with a BFA in Graphic Design - Magna Cum Laude and Dean's List. While at UNF, Patrick was a member of the Design Club, and a student member of the AIGA. With a fanatical passion for design, he earned awards such as a 2nd Place Students Choice Award, 1st Runner Up AIGA Portfolio Review Poster Contest, Top 10 in the 16th Annual AIGA Portfolio Review, and the Winner of the Gladys Prior Award for Teaching Excellence Print Ad Contest. The passion for design did not stop with his education. Patrick puts an exceptional amount of energy and creativity into every project that crosses his desk. He has remained an active professional member of the AIGA, helps young designers at annual portfolio reviews, and volunteers in a youth mentorship program. He has earned several professional level awards including a FPRA Image Award for his work with the AACE, 3 Silver Addys for Package Design, Illustration and Catalog Design and a Gold Addy for Public Service Mixed Media Campaign.
