I'm a singer/songwriter and member of ASCAP. I'm also the new keyboard player for a local band known as BIG PAPPA . I'm originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and I now live in Port Huron, Michigan. I majored in commercial music and minored in piano and voice at Anderson College in South Carolina and I've been writing and performing since the age of 14.
I wrote and entered the song "I Won't Forget" in the American Idol Songwriters contest for season 6. Although I didn't make the top 20, there were no regrets. It was a great experience for me and I met some of the nicest people from around the world during that time. It inspired me to continue writing and performing.
Shortly after, I was included in a charity compilation cd entitled "HITS THEY MISSED" with other very talented songwriters who, like myself, were entered in the contest with American Idol. Produced by LUANNE HUNT and SEAN GASAWAY with JOHN BASS of ARCTIC SOUND STUDIOS, the album was released in September of '07 and received international attention inlcuding "Album Of The Week" from the International Songwriters Association. Above is a slideshow of my last recording trip to Nashville. In addition to recording at Quad Studios Nashville and Arctic Sound Studios with some of the most talented musicians I've ever met, I was interviewed by Vic Morgan of BBC Radio fame. The interview was broadcasted live back to England which was a first for me.
Take a minute and watch the slideshow and you'll see why I had such a great time. You may even recognize a few faces in the pictures above from the Fox reality show THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND. Jared Ribble (percussion) of DENVER AND THE MILE HIGH ORCHESTRA and John Howard (bass) of SIXWIRE. Both bands competed all the way to the top 3.
