    Patrick M. Tracy's Interests
GeneralI'm interested in all things concerning writing and publishing, but I'm also eternally trying to keep up with the computer business. I've been interested in the open source movement and Linux for the last few years, and routinely use Ubuntu, Openoffice.org, and other open source software. I enjoy weightlifting, photography, and technology. In my spare time (if I have any), I liked to hang around with friends and talk about nerdy things like operating systems, the publishing industry, movies, and historical battles.
MusicExtreme Music: Opeth, Wintersun, Immortal, Iced Earth (with Matt Barlow), Dark Tranquility, Runemagick, Bolt Thrower, Krisiun, Nocturnal Rites, Manowar... Rock: Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, The Stones, Del Amitri, Wallflowers... Jazz: Miles Davis, John Coletrane, MJQ, Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Dave Brubeck, Keith Jarrett, Bill Frisell, Cannonball Adderley, Mark Isham, Les McCann... Classical: Bach, Beethoven, Sibelius, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Wagner... Soloist for the ages: Jascha Heifetz on the violin, no questions asked.
MoviesI'm a big movie buff. I love all the old Films Noir, as well as modern films such as Tombstone, The Red Violin, Serenity, A Princess Bride, and far more than I can reasonably list.
TelevisionThe Wire is the BEST SHOW EVER! I also like Rome, Battlestar Galactica (the new one), Deadwood, 24, Law and Order, and so on.
BooksOrwell, Solzhenitsyn, Twain, Tolkien, Burroughs, King, Lovecraft, Howard...

About me:
A mild-mannered computer technician by day, I don the ceremonial comfy shirt and write all sorts of speculative fiction by night. Note: speculative fiction is all the fun stuff you're not supposed to read during your algebra class in school. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror...that sort of thing.
Who I'd like to meet:
Editors, agents, and publishers who are looking for a new voice in Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Horror. Great writers (both new and established) who don't mind sharing their thoughts and experiences about the business, the craft, and life in general.

Hey, there! I'm the last person who commented... Guess I'm still on top! Lol! Been reading a couple of your last blog entries, and went to Hawkcircle to check it out. I wish I had more time to read, and I'd catch up on the story. "Perhaps soon," she always says. Hope your holidays were nice.

Thank you so much for your comment on my story. I have plenty of readers, but so few actually tell me what they think, which is the reason I started this whole MySpace deal. I really appreciate it. Have a good weekend.

Hey Patrick, sorry I haven't had a lot of time to reply to all my myspace activity. Thank you for all the thoughtful comments though. You commented on my personal blog awhile back and I tried replying but I think it filed it under a comment of it's own. I didn't want you to think I ignored you. Anyway, writing has been going slower than I would like. Way too much stuff going on. How has your own writing been going? I hope all is well. Take it easy - Andy

Greetings, I hope all is well.

This is your mission, should you choose to accept it: Prove you exist;

Visit my blog, and offer your kudos/comments to one, or two of the poems posted in my Poetry Open series.

Many of the same people are taking part, and I would like to see some fresh commentary.

Sincerely,
Jason
