Patrick Odel is probably the most enthusiastic singer, songwriter, and producer you will ever have the chance to meet. Coming from Houston, TX, he aims to master the musical styles of all genres. His styles include country,
rock, reggaeton, R&B and hip hop as well as gospel. Patrick Odel is attributed by many of his music listeners to be a singer who has "fire". He is also known as one that touches the heart with soul and depth, not just with music and lyrics, but also character and presence.
His upcoming cd titled "HOPE YOU READY" has become one the most highly anticipated music events that Patrick Odel has done since the days of travelling the U.S. doing cover songs. The album is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2009 with tour dates to follow around the United States, and eventually the world. Patrick Odel has been drawing thousands of new listeners each month since first coming to myspace in May of 2008. With many DJ's and radio shows joining his following, there are high expectations that there will be heavy coverage of his music on stations around the world both on and offline.
Patrick Odel began singing in church choirs at the age of 3, being taken by his grandmother. By 14 he was travelling with a church choir as a lead vocalist at many venues including singing on the steps of City Hall in Houston, TX for the mayor. In 2001 he broke away from the group scene and made his debut as a solo artist at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. From there, he made his presence known with being requested by the Texas Gospel Announcer's Guild Anniversary Event. Also, has been to Hollywood, CA being nominated as Best Male artist by the Best New Talent Awards, as well as at the USA World Showcase, held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Every place Patrick has performed, people were always asking when his own music would release, as he was becoming very popular while performing cover songs. As a result, in 2008 he decided to step back and begin his own recording. He is planning to make a return to travelling that will never stop growing, performing his own original music around the world. He also intends to break into the industry as an actor, and even appear on some television shows in the near future.
