About Patrick Suskind - Perfume

I made this page to show you my song 'Perfume' and to start a community for those who love or have an interest in the book.

If you have been creatively or artistically inspired by the story of Perfume, please send us your work and we will post it (words, art, pictures, photos, cartoons, poems, songs.........)

Patrick Suskind's 'Perfume' is simply a brilliant creation. Never before have I been grasped so intensely by a book.

This is the story behind my song 'Perfume'. One of the only books I have read over and over again. I can't explain my fascination with it apart from that I have a strange attraction to such an odd, twisted story line, examining a darker side of life and written with such conviction that you can mistakenly feel compassion for this horrible man who is a spiteful murderer.

As some 'Perfume' fans might know there is a film currently being released, directed by German born Tom Tykwer.

Narvafiel	Jun 26 2007 3:14 PM Hey guys!!!! Finally, I've seen the movie yesterday! (Well, you know, Chili it's on the end of the world...)I was so excited!!! It was great, really, specially the game of senses, the shots, the music... But I have to admit that I prefer (and no doubt about that) the book. I don't want to discourage you, but actually, the characters on the movie(like Jean Baptiste Grenouille) are somehow an outline of the real characters in the book. Anyway, I loved the film and I'm thinking of going to see it again! Hugs from Chile!

Perfume, The Pigeon, The Story of Mr Sommer, The Double Bass, Three Stories and a Reflection... I LOVE them all. And I would like it to be known before the film version comes to Australia that for some time I have considered Perfume to be one of the greatest things ever written (just in case the movie popularises the book or perhaps even eclipses it).
