Patrick Vandiver—an accomplished pianist, singer, and songwriter—performs extensively in many different venues throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. His musical style spans a broad range of genres, including pop, jazz, rhythm and blues, country and gospel. Whatever the song, Patrick always delivers an emotional, passionate performance with rich keyboard stylings and a powerful, soulful voice much larger than himself.
Born and raised in rural Georgia, Patrick began playing the piano by ear when he was five years old. Somewhat of a child prodigy, he was soon playing and singing the most popular songs of the time before audiences numbering in the hundreds. By age twelve, he was performing his own compositions, and soon began winning classical piano competitions. Following high school, he attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.
Early in his career, Patrick toured with a Tulsa-based gospel group for eight years as a keyboardist and vocalist. He now works primarily as a solo artist although he has performed with other artists, including the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
Patrick has seven solo recording projects to his credit. Music from his piano CD, “Beyond Words” can be heard on the nationally-syndicated radio show “Delilah.”
