I seem to be interested in lots of things. My old loves are Surfing-Skateboarding/Sailing-swimming & snorkeling. I've Photographed most of my life when cameras were part of my anatomy that is.
I like working with mechanical things and building & landscaping my living space. AND!! of course...being on line :)
At one time I thought if I should die right then I wanted to be reincarnated as George Thourgood's bass player :)
My 1st music preferences were to the beat of surf music like "The Ventures" "Dick Dale," the "Surfaries" OH! their are other Fav's in my life that had a direct impact on how I was evolving too, like..... "Quilts & Covers" :) , "The Richeous Brothers", "BTO", "10 cc", "Pure Prairie league", "Leon Russell", "Jimmy Hendricks", "Bob Serger", "TAJ Mahal", "Tim Weisberg", "The Beetles" (changed hundreds of thousands of lives), "The Rolling Stones", "Willy Nelson", "John Courgar", "Bob Marley", "Char", "Carly Simon" & "Tina Turner". "The Gin Blossoms", & " Real Big Fish" .
Dave Matthew's & Rod Stewart will always make me warm when I hear their voice like they were my brothers or my lovers........BTW i still have all my old Vinyl from the "Almond bros" to "ZZ-Top", then the collection graduates to 8 track then to cassette. Now i back up alot of thoes on CD. I have other fav's too and they still change with the wind, Oh! speaking of "Blowing in the Wind"... & "Bob Dylan"---> ("All the good times i've waisted having good times").
If you ever hold on to anything "HOLD ON TO TOUR TUNES!!!!!"
Movies
I LOVE THE MOVIES. My collection is topped off with all the OLD time surfing films on DVD now and some of the latest Surf Epics. I even got my hands on some of the good O'l beach movies that i did stunt work for back in the 60's (now on dvd) Thats always good for a laugh,They seem really corny now, LOL
Television
Television was a big part of my young SK8 career. As the o'l saying goes.. "If I knew then what I know now" I would-of gathered all the press & video tape I could get my hands on but it just didn't accrue to me. At this present time in space My Personal Historion / Photographer *Scott Starr* is digging in my past with some luck and has retrieved a few films so the "OLD SCHOOL" moments can be relived for those of you who care. If that's you then please subscribe to my Blog, that's the ez-est way to turn you on to "StarrFilms" finds. And the adventures of Patti*, LOL for what its worth.
For now I'm posting a link right here to a piece of film i appeared in on a Day
time talk show "The Mike Douglas Show" Corny stuff but remember it was 42 years ago, Yikes! & It's in Black & White!!!! oppps one more thing, PLEASE give it a rating & your 2cents worth if you have time. Thank You ....

No Time for TV These days........Unless its a concert, Surfing, Skateboarding or Kite surfing event. Although I follow sports to keep up with my boy friend, always a good idea. Besides football has lots of guys in tight pants!!! :)
If I'm going to watch a screen I rather watch my computer since I can interact with it! Ya know what i mean
Books
BOOKS,YES!!! I don't have a lot of time to read but reading my self off to sleep is my way of taking advantage of getting a few extra min's. out of every day. Besides i love a good story!
*Clive Cussler and his (Men of men) Dirk Pitt <-----Love that guy and now that Matthew McConaughey has played him in the movie Sahara :) twice as NICE!! Always better when you can attach a real face to a book character :)
*Navada Barr is also a wonder women of adventure :) I love to read her adventures of the Forest service ranger. I've actually been to a few of the parks where she is stationed. She's a tough gal & has to wing it, good stuff.
I believe her stories would make excellent films. Their are a few select actress that could fill her shoes.
..
I've gotten caught up in the gun totten adventures of Stephanie Plum by *Janet Evanovich and have kept up with the Mysteries of detective Kinsey Millhone by
*Sue Grafton....
My most recent READING Adventure 5-08) has been focesed on Wilbur Smith: "Birds of Pray" & it's sequal "Monsoon" Monsoon is an exhilarating adventure pitting brother against brother, man against sea, and good against evil. Also "Diamond Hunters" This man writes about Africa as you would expect to live it. Next i'm going to read his stuff on Egypt starting with "RIVER GOD"
Heroes

Hi Patti, thanks for pic. comments on my plants. Survival of the fittest in my garden. Although most of my plants to appear very tropical and tender looking, some are as tough as nails and even our coldest winters won't faze them. Take the Windmill Palms, fool proof in our zone. Have a great day kiddo, just heading down to the beach here to enjoy the sunshine. Cheers to ya, Banana Joe
Thanks for the Bday gift, Patti.. I had a good day yesterday.. you know we crashed into the moon this morning.. Crazy huh? Hope you have a good day.. We'll chat later, X Scotty
Hi Patti, O'ahu was great as usual. On page 46 of my pics. you can see my tattoo. It is of the Hawaiian Islands with my kids names under them. I would have got a palm tree, but I already have one on my upper back, lol. Hope all is well with you and your palms are flourishing. Been a great Summer here and a very warm and sunny Fall so far. Cheers
