Gail Davies, EmmyLou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Buck White and the Down Homers, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, Jennifer Warnes, the Mitchell Family, the Lewis Family, Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers, Harrell Partain and the church singins that my folks would take us to, and all the bands at the festivals that they would take us to..Merle Haggard, Sonny James, Patsy Cline, Ray Price, Charley Pride, there are so many influences--I know I'll be adding to this list...
Patty Mitchell was raised in a musical family with her two brothers and two sisters by parents who hosted the Perrin Festival--one of thefinest Bluegrass events in Texas for more than a decade--she recorded for the first time when she was just eight years old.
Patty’s long-awaited self-produced recording, These are the Good Old Days, was officially released in January of 2004. It is all-acoustic and features some of Bluegrass Music’s most celebrated musicians including Jim Hurst, Missy Raines, Casey Driessen, David Harvey, Keith Little, and Robert Gateley.
Patty has lent her voice to a number of noteworthy recordings. She performs the duet “Little Willie” with Bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley on his Grammy-nominated and IBMA award-winning release, Clinch Mountain Sweethearts, which includes Dolly Parton, Joan Baez, Chely Wright, Sara Evans, and Gillian Welch, among others. Patty also contributes supporting vocals for singer/songwriter/producer Gail Davies on her releases: Live and Unplugged at the Station Inn, named by Nashville Scene Magazine as a Top Ten release of 2001, and Davies’ The Songwriter Sessions, and for Emmylou Harris’ cut of “Wondering” on the highly-acclaimed Caught in the Webb tribute to Country Music Hall of
Fame member (the late) Webb Pierce-a cut which has also made its way onto Harris’ multi-disc release Songbird. Patty also supports John Cowan’s vocal on “The Voice,” from Moody Bluegrass, a tribute to the Moody Blues produced by David Harvey.
Since moving to the Nashville area, Patty has performed at the Grand Ole Opry with the Gail Davies' Band, and the Ryman Auditorium, as well as for Fest de Ville at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Patty will be joining Gail Davies' band on their summer European Tour, kicking off with the Americana Festival in Newark, England. Patty performed internationally for the first time in August of 2002 with the Patty Mitchell Band, playing dates in Stockholm and Granna, Sweden with multi-talented Bluegrass veteran Keith Little, young and amazing acoustic bassist Amanda Kowalski, and husband and guitarist David Lege. Here in the states, she has performed for concerts, festivals, venues, radio, television, and she has sung the National Anthem for prominent events such as World Cup Soccer and Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for the Cure with the "retro-metro" trio The Domestic Science Club, which was signed to the Discovery label by Jac Holzman, creator of Elektra Records.
In the early '90s, Patty served as interim bassist/mandolinist/lead vocalist for the fledgling band, the Dixie Chicks, helping them win their first prestigious music award, the Telluride Band Contest. During that same time frame, she and her husband David and brother, bassist Jeff Mitchell, founded the Bluegrass band Red Oak, which showcased for the International Bluegrass Music Association.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
