"....Pat Wictor walks onstage and sits down. He places a Guild DV-52 flat across his lap and begins playing slide guitar. The sounds are snaky and sizzling. He sings in a steady and clear voice, sometimes displaying a riveting falsetto. Soft-spoken and articulate, in the 1930's he could have been a dust bowl preacher. The sermons, accompanied by the choir of his slide guitar, would have brought comfort to many a soul...." --Richard Cuccaro, Acoustic Live.
Pat Wictor plays "heart-felt blues-based roots music like the only begotten son of Bonnie Raitt and Chris Smither," says Jim Motavalli of WPKN Bridgeport. Blues Revue magazine calls him "daring and unusual." Dirty Linen called his guitar playing "masterful."
In July '06, Pat released his 5th CD, "Heaven Is So High," featuring his strongest material and most textured production yet.
Pat - So cool that you're gonna be at SUUSI. Looking forward to playing with you (perhaps recreating Greg's CD!) Maybe we can put together a bottleneck/dobro/steel exploration...
Hi Pat, what an honor to open for you at Rob's house. You are such an inspiration...your music, singing and playing are a beautiful gift to all who hear you! Thank you for that! May our paths cross again soon! Thank you so much for the words of wisdom. You are wonderful! Peace, Carrie

You know what? I think we should put our heads together and find a way to do this after the holidays. I have final grades due Monday; I'll give you a call sometime next week. Wow...
Adventures are a good thing! My one regret of the day was the lack of time... in that controlled environment, with you and Todd there, people I felt comfortable around - would have been a great chance to try getting a simple demo of one of my songs down. The whole studio thing just terrifies me. Hey, and I'm still interested if what we talked about becomes doable down the road.
