Paula Delaney has been described as sensational, charismatic, humorous, vivacious, talented and a "quality female performer." Paula can also be posh and common, sexy and demure, naughty and nice, classy and sophisticated, insanely sane, rocky and raunchy and "the perfect entertainer and singer for any event," such as corporate events, parties, weddings, product launches, festivals, any function, golf days and anything else you can think of.
Paula's musical talent was visible from an early age. By the time she was 15 had achieved Grade 6 in Piano and Grade 7 in singing. This along with lea roles performing in musical shows and other fesitvals and events, gave her the opportunity to reveal, develop and show off her extensive talent, from which Paula has now developed a large fan base in the UK. Along with her song writing and performing, Paula also spends much of her time trying to raise money for charity, like at the Bruce Grobbelaar Golf Open 2008 where the money raised went to Rainbow House. She also helped to raise over £11,000 at Dukinfield town hall for children with Cerebral Palsy. Paula's newest challenge is to raise as much money as possible by doing a Bungee Jump, a BASE jump and a Parachute Jump, Abseiling from Old Trafford Stadium and to Walk the Great China Wall in 2011, all dressed as a certain Character!!! We will endeavour to keep you updated on this. All of the proceeds again will go to Rainbow House.
Paula's real true love is songwriting and performing her own songs. Paula writes most of her music on piano, (however has also recently started writing some music on her guitar) and then develops them further in the studio. Paula's voice suits the more country rock style, but she mixes her writing with a slight mix of ska v chaz & dave!!! Paula is currently working on her first album and is hoping for it to be ready for the end of July.
OK, OK, Here's the Nitty Gritty Stuff
I grew up on a farm, with lots of horses, dogs, goats, rabbits, snakes, lizards.....foxes, cats, owls, pet rats......ha ha....with my Mum, in Scarisbrick, just outside Southport, So yes I guess you could say that I am a posh Scouser!!!! Christmas was always mental for a few days, after the 50 dogs that we had all got christmas stockings with those squeeky toys, which I used to take off them as the noise would drive me mental. I Went to an all girls school, for which I had to wear a green uniform....yes green!!!!got good grades......went to college........and left college early to go travelling....with the money I had saved from riding, buying and selling horses from a young age. Nobody in my family could play an instrument or even sing....In fact, most of them are totally tone deaf, except for my little cousin soph soph, who I am certain will become a super star......, when I was Four, for some bizzar reason, I asked Santa for a piano, and my mum thought.....where has she come up with this idea from???? I couldnt tell you.....however, mum got me a keyboard and I stuck at it......so then I got a piano.........which is of course, what I now write my songs on.......Singing came later on, as I needed a second instrument to get into cheet I now write songs full time and still perform during the weekends and some week nights, spend alot of time recording and promoting and also trying to raise some moeny for charity.
