I play from my catalog of 3500+ cover tunes and am primarily known as a solo acoustic musician and the host of The PaulStar Jam Series (formerly A.C.E. Open Mic). My company is Allodi Entertainment in the NW burbs, Est. 1997. .. I do write my own music as well and I recently began to find my way back to performing my original music more often. I hope you'll give me a listen and an honest review when I get things posted here. I am looking to expand my circle of playing regionally and hopefully nationally/internationally. .. I also do bookings, live and studio sound engineering & reinforcement, studio musician, DJ/KJ, guitar/voice/performance lessons, voice over, jingles, audio logos, producer, mentor, talent scout. .... Influences
..I turned off my radio around 1983... TOTALLY despised MTV when it came out. I thought it would ruin music as we knew it... I was RIGHT! Well. sort of. Turned it back on in 1991 and started to play catch up, I think. Got hooked on talk radio for a while and now I'm totally lost! LOL Nonetheless, my love for a good song keeps my cover song catalog ever growing with a few show tunes, big band era, early rock/doo wop and all the way through til today... well, at least 2003 or so! Sounds Like
..Lots of things... too many styles to pidgeon hole. Bluesy based acoustic pop, generally, but song styles include blues, rock, reggae, alternative, country, big band/swing, folk. You are likely to hear any of the above in a given performance. I say: Jim Croce meets Elvis meets The Beatles meets B.B. King... throw in a puff of Bob Marley while you're at it! Others have said: Eddie Money, Joe Cocker...
