paula mcmath is a singer/songwriter/guitarist based in LA. She draws on a performing career which has spanned from her native Southern Ontario to Western Canada down the coast to Los Angeles. She has been a part of various musical collaborations and projects - which bring to her work various influences from rock and blues to a cappella, jazz and electronica.
Paula sang, played piano and began writing songs as a little girl in small town Kingsville, Ontario. As a pre-teen, she began playing guitar and singing for family gatherings and in local talent shows. In high school and college, she discovered vocal harmony and sought opportunities to play and sing with other musicians. She relocated to Vancouver for Graduate School and ended up on the road with a Vancouver-based a cappella group, the 4-tunes. She transitioned to Los Angeles and has performed on stages at the House of Blues, the Staples Center, The Gig, Genghis Cohen, Hollywood Athletic Club, The Knitting Factory and 14 Below, etc. as a part of such projects as the Ray Bandini Revue, the Heebie-Jeebies, the Collective, the Zookeepers, the Young Dubliners, mcmath and Klimak, and Grace. She is now focused primarily on performing her own songs as a solo artist and as part of an ensemble of musician friends.

Hey Cous... I dig your songs (though I've heard them before at Mike Oullette's). I really like your homesick blues vid as well... I hope you are well. Check out my page for a cute vid of my kid, Ana, playing the harmonica.
Thanks for finding me here in MySpace-land and for sharing your music with me! Great voice! Keep writin' and playin' and remember that Life Without Music Would Be A Mistake! :-)
Thanks, Komrade! I like your clarity; I'm in Montana at the moment, but didn't I see you in Hancock Park? Anyway, great work, keep it up, and best fishes from Griff and His Legion of Cats
