I contacted with ethnic and ancient musics and making a serious research I began to explore my roots arriving to Europe. By that time I met Fernando Lynch (DUIR) and I began to sing irish and scottish trad songs. Nowadays I feel that all those melodies and rythms have a connection with the music that I'd always listened (rock, blues, jazz, pop). But it was only in july 2008 that I began exploring those musical connections based on migration movements through Atlantic Ocean and in the UK, mixing in recording sessions folk musicians with rock pop and electronic ones.

hi paula! how are you doing over there? i do like your tunes very much!! i just hope my internet will let me listen more some day very soon, i hope things are fine with you! Tim
Thanks! That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a long time:) I can see why "Distant Shore" would be a lot of peoples favourites, your voice has an interesting quality on that track, slightly scandinavian or possible japanese, it's very endearing either way.
Yes Nick Drake seems to have quite the following, something of a poster boy for acoustic musicians. He's definitely one of my favourite artists. Have you heard of Vashti Bunyan? If not you might like to check her stuff out, she draws from a similar well. I recommend the track "Diamond Day".
It's funny you should mention the popularity of english folkrock, because it reminded me of a video that I'd seen on youtube of some people from argentina playing an amazing version of Pentangle's "Light Flight". It struck me as odd at the time, I hadn't realised Pentangle had made it to south america:)
Hey Paula. I was just having a browse on your site and noticed you had one of my songs listed in your "influences" section, and I wanted to take the time to thank you. It's always great to know when people appreciate your music, especially when that person is a musician themselves. So.... thanks:) Scott.
