Storytelling is an ancient art. In nearly every culture, audiences gather around the storyteller for entertainment, memory safekeeping, and insight about the world around them. There’s something very human in the love of being told a good story. A modern-day balladeer, Paula Miller is carrying on that tradition in Northeast Ohio. A classically trained singer turned folk singer/songwriter, she writes songs that tell stories of life in the city. Mixing it up with banter and improvisation, Paula charms audiences from all walks of life.
A transplanted wide-eyed country girl, Paula moved to Akron several years ago and her songs reflect her fascination and love of the culture of the city and the people who are a part of it. She will charm your audiences with stories accompanying her songs, sometimes even improvising new songs on the spot, getting the audience involved in the show.
Paula entered the local music scene opening for The Jared Lees Experience, and later joined the Jared Lees Band as a vocalist, percussionist, and guitarist. She is now striking out again as a solo artist and is available to play your venue. Contact Paula Miller at paulamillermusic@gmail.com for booking information.
