Reviews

"[Paul and Storm] attacked with both high and low humor. There were scatalogical laughs aplenty...but a lot of the fun sprang from the duo's energetic, quick-witted harmony vocals."
- The Washington Post, September 8, 2004

"The pair kept the audience off guard and occasionally off their seats with laughter."
- Soundcheck Magazine, July, 2004

"I laughed so hard that I nearly fell out of my chair…like a standup act by guys with instruments..Check them out, because they’re already hilarious and will only get better from here."
Bethlehem Daily Star

"Two genuinely funny people...Paul and Storm are obvious[ly] cool nerds (the good kind), and their brand of humor should appeal to people that actually have healthy senses of humor."
- Blogcritics.org, August, 2004

   About Paul and Storm
"Paul and Storm's music evokes both tears and fits of laughter – at the same time" -- Washington Post Express

Paul Sabourin and Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo have been writing and performing original funny music together for a long, long time. They hope their music will make you laugh and feel good for a little while, and believe that this aim is noble, right and just.

Millions are familiar with Paul and Storm and their material from the years they spent as one-half of the widely acclaimed a cappella band Da Vinci's Notebook. Bravely picking up instruments in 2004, Paul and Storm continue to write original material as they continue to appear in clubs and at major festivals across the country.

No subject is sacred to this energetic pair as they keep audiences laughing with their humorous and satirical original songs. Paul and Storm’s songs are as catchy and musically interesting as they are funny, and in live performance their harmonies draw comparisons to the Everly Brothers, while their stage presence evokes the Barenaked Ladies.

All of their music is available from their website (www.paulandstorm.com) in CD format or as downloadable mp3's.

Paul and Storm's music is often heard on the "Bob and Tom" syndicated morning radio show, and has been heard on “The Drew Carey Show”, Comedy Central, XM Satellite Radio's "Dr. Demento" show, and on the popular web cartoon site Homestarrunner.com.

Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo proudly plays Martin guitars.

Gumbo Pants CD

Gumbo Pants

Gumbo Pants is filled with thirty (30) tracks’ worth of yummy crap: old favorites that we finally put on disc (The Captain’s Wife’s Lament); new rockin’ awesomeness written especially for you (Your Town); a gospel choir singing about chicken nuggets (Nugget Man); inappropriate Schoolhouse Rock-style educational material (Count to Ten); more rejected commercial jingles; a whole slew of songs that are one sentence long; and the answer to the oft-asked question of what it would sound like if James Taylor were on fire (If James Taylor Were on Fire).

News to Us

A compilation of songs written for the Bob & Tom morning radio show, based on or inspired by the news from the week the song was written. Includes the popular hits "Strip Club Daddy", "Barry Bonds Press Conference - The Musical", "John Mellencamp's 'Theme from 24'", "Ten-Finger Johnny", "Your Love Is", and "Hip-Shop", the barbershop-rap extravaganza by world-renowned quartet the BarryTones. Buy it or we'll eat your dog!

Opening Band

The original hotness: thirty-two (count 'em, 32) tracks of Paul and Storm bringin' the funny. Includes director commentaries by the artists.

I've had a few ask me, When is BlkRadio Live coming back? Well, I now have an answer for you...

   BlkRadio LIVE Returns: Saturday September 19th 2009 @ 6pm PDT  listen.BlkRadio.net

I get several bands approach me asking to give their songs a listen
and to reply back on what I think about their music. I'm not one to
step on someone else's art so I tend to keep the critique out of it for
the general requests.  However I do know that some of the bands out
there are serious about wanting some honest feedback. For those bands
BlkRadio LIVE is for you.

If you would like your music played on BlkRadio LIVE, drop me a comment on my myspace page with the words "BlkRadio LIVE"
in the text.  We will announce your name and
myspace page so the listeners can go and check you out themselves. (One
request per band)

We will play the first song posted on your MySpace band page and give
our honest review, allowing the listeners in our Meebo Room to
vote for the bands they like and to give their feedback. Get your street team involved if
you wish and have your band represented.

The goal here is to provide the artists that want, true feedback, not
to cut down or dismantle any band or their art. I respect all the
artists that approach BlkRadio for airplay. I know what I like and
don't like, which is different then someone else. This is why I would
like to bring the band submission process to the listeners. This is
their radio, lets give them the opportunity to pick the bands that they
like.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming, already in progress.

I freaking love the two new songs on here since I last visited. Have also worked out that there are TWO new CDs that I don't have! Ordering them this minute! Jeepers, how did I get so out of the loop? Whatever happened to the email group?! Hoping all is very, very at your end, and am rapturously thrilled to receive the new CDs... Pam x

Hello Paul and Storm!

I have missed your presence from my inbox. For some reason, whatever email address I try to send things from (despite having joined MOST of them to your email group), NOTHING WORKS. I shall persevere... I shall persevere. Anyway, I hope that both of you are very well indeed and that the creative juices are flowly freely down your collective chin.

Cheers,
Pam in Austraaaaaylia.

Mind-blowing show in Ann Arbor tonight! My wife and I drove from Grand Rapids (the other side of the state) just to see your show. We were not disappointed. In fact, it may have been the time we've had at a concert in many years. Please come back to Michigan soon.
You guys are amazing!
