Spending his early days in Adelaide, then moving to Darwin, New Zealand and Sydney, all before the age of 12, Paul Appelkamp grew up around many ways of life. His travelled upbringing and four years studying Politics, Culture and Media at University led to a deep appreciation for many cultures, one that drives his music.
Not to be squeezed into a genre, Appelkamp is known for blending modern styles with a tribal feel. His mixture of old and new, East and West, reflects his personal view of the world - as one experience shared by all.
Appelkamp's entertaining live shows have gained him a grass-roots following across Australia. Using several instruments including guitars, kalimba, stomp-box and more, the music is strengthened to its core by powerful stories and a voice that can raise the roof.

hey bud, howz ya tour. I played at the sss friday just gone it was pretty fun, i have a mate playing base with me now which has thickend up my tunes a bit, and helped with pacing the songs.
just got the new one from i-tunes, hey what a brilliant work for an appelkamp, good luck with the album, definitly more than worth a listen, hope to catch u at a gig someday in europe or aus
