Paul Bernstein and His Wide Stance are an eclectic and exhilarating blend of Glam Rock and disco.What does that sound like? Imagine blending the sultry, sexy sound of Roxy Music with the edgy jagged beat of The New York Dolls and the pop and dance ability of The Village People. Voila!, Widestance.
The group formed in New york City in 2007, with lead singer Paul Bernstein hailing from London, England, lead guitarist John Lyons (Formerly of E-13 , Ozgood Slaughter,The Barnyard Playboys, Peter & the Pansexuals & presently The Dishwashers) and drummer Ross Johnson from Detroit & Marquette, Michigan respectively, Rhythm guitarist Smokin' Steve Austin (Formerly of Pink Swords and presently of Bad Wizard) and bass player Johnny Mac (Pansexuals) from Austin, Texas.
2008 has been a busy year for the band playing regularly around NYC and Brooklyn and recording and releasing their first e.p. currently available from C.D Baby.com.
