From being one of South Africa’s finest exports, after holding the residency at Johannesburg’s super-club ESP and headlining its biggest outdoor event H2O, to playing Ibiza’s Amnesia “Voted Best Global Club” and Privilege, “The World’s Biggest Club”, this young breakthrough artist is certainly making his mark in the music industry.
Since Paul propelled into the international market, he has produced a list of influential tracks, which have been play-listed in some of the industry’s biggest magazines, remixed by major international artists, released on well-respected labels and played at festivals and clubs around the globe by some of world’s top DJs. In his short career to date, Paul has played numerous gigs alongside superstars such as Robbie Rivera, Sebastian Leger, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Stonebridge, Peter Gelderblom and Rene Amesz, and has seen his tracks produced on labels such as Black Hole Recordings, Juicy Music, Function Recordings, Chameleon Muzik, Navida Music and Play Records.
Paul’s own personal stamp on the electro/tech house genre has meant his talent is in increasing demand, through both new track releases and in the flesh! It is this success that has taken him all over Europe to play at some of the world’s most well known clubs including Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege and Fabrik’s “Ultra Music Festival”, not to mention the infamous Rotterdam Street Parade. He held his first summer residency in Ibiza in 2009 and played at the “Juicy Ibiza” nights at Privilege, alongside international super-star Robbie Rivera, Marco V, Inpetto, Stonebridge. If this wasn’t enough, he made special guest appearances at Amnesia’s “Contact” nights alongside Brian Cross and played live on “Ibiza Global Radio”, Ibiza’s No. 1 dance music station.
Paul’s steadfast relationship with Juicy Music has seen him gain additional success with tracks like “Extra Sensory Perception” and “Sounds Like Acid”, which have also been remixed by Robbie Rivera, Armand Pena, Tony Arzadon, DJ Inphinity and Willie Morales. However, it is his more recent tracks have been causing quite a stir - “Superfreak” has been super successful having gone straight into the Buzz Charts at 17 and released on the Juicy Buenos Aires Compilation in 2009 with many subsequent re-releases, the most notable being on Tiesto’s Black Hole Recordings label.
Now with his base being in the United Kingdom for the last three years, Paul has been diligently carving a name for himself on the London club scene by playing super clubs including Ministry of Sound and Pacha. This March, Paul makes his debut in the USA where he will be playing at the Winter Music Conference’s Juicy Beach party with Robbie Rivera, Funkagenda, Oscar G, Wally Lopez, Stonebridge to name a few, with other gigs across the USA soon to be announced.
Paul's passion for music has helped him to carve a technically efficient sound while adding his own personal flair to the genre of music he produces. His ability to “work” a crowd has earned him a first-rate reputation in intimate venues and super-clubs alike. He is certainly setting the music industry alight with his infectious love of what he does best!
