   About Paul Bradley
Paul Bradley comes from a musical family in Co. Armagh in the North of Ireland.

Of his album "Atlantic Roar", the Irish Times wrote:

"Key and style changes show off not only his utter comfort with the instrument but his total understanding of the music he plays."

He lives in Galway where he teaches fiddle and makes, repairs and trades in violins.

He played fiddle with Dorsa, a group which toured regularly abroad and which formed part of Ireland's musical representation in Expo 2000.

He teaches fiddle each year at the Willie Clancy Summer School in Miltown malbay, Co. Clare.

He has given master-classes at many prestigious events and festivals including the University of Limerick, Traditional Music Dept.

Paul is also a poet and has read from his works at University of Limerick, Open House Festival, (Belfast) and at No Alibis bookshop, Botanic Avenue, Belfast. He is currently recording an album of poems and tunes on a new violin of his own making.

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Hope you got that fiddle swing-singing away as we speak. Hot damn! I coulda sworn I done heard it there in the breeze, only a moment ago. Don't know for sure. Maybe it was just a raccoon farting. Either way, lots of love to you and the sister!

Hey Paul - A duo called The Lost Brothers will be doing a gig at the Roisin Dubh on the 5th of May and are well worth going to see, well worth supporting. They were over in Portland for a few weeks, recording their second album, and only left town a couple days ago. I know one of them from Omagh and met the other one mad night in Lurgan. Check out their myspace and see what you think. "City of the Rose" would be a great place to start. It's a song inspired by the ghost of a prostitute that is said to haunt the halls of the hotel where they were staying the last time they were here recording. Portland is known as the City of the Rose(s). I hope you are doing well.

Hi Paul

Thanks for accepting! I've always at least one book on the go! Sorry I can't make the Lewisham Irish Centre gig. Geraldine told me about it but 'Things' have conspired against me for that weekend. All the best.

Saw your light flashing and have been throwing pebbles at your window for the last half hour, but you must either have the music up loud, be sawing away on the fiddle, or be passed out on the couch. Wanted to show you the car I picked up a few days back. The color's a bit mad - GOLD! - but it should come in handy for my upcoming tour of backwoods biker bars. I'll drop by another time and let you have a look at it. Till then: all the best...

Thanks for that Paul. Yes I am gettin it together for sure. Start recording in April my first CD and I'm just polishing songs up now. Songs I thought were finished are suddenly improving out of the blue. The idea off puttin them down permanently is scary and fear is a great motivator... Anyway Paul, Bell Harbour might've felt a long way away from everything. That's only 'cause it is I guess.

Howya paul, the tour was savage! Had a wild time in the snowy mountains! Hasi reckons he never had a gang that played so much music,we played before the soundcheck, during the soundcheck, did the gig and then played all night after! Got back from france yesterday, we were out supporting cathail hayden, mairtin o'conner and seamie o'dowd for two gigs. It went great, got great encouragment from the lads. Hope all is well with you, we'll meet up for a jar and a chat soon.
