Paul Brown- lead vocals, keyboard, and rythym guitar; Scott Mowry - bass guitar and vocals; Terry Davis- lead guitar and vocals, Henry Wigger Drums, Percussion, and Vocals.
Paul Brown is an accomplished singer, writer, and keyboardist. He also plays a very cool rhythm guitar for the band. He has traveled extensively and holds a masters in music and is a practicing lawyer.
Terry Davis is a tremendously talented lead guitarist and one of Paul's best friends. One of the best guitarists in any situation.
Henry Wiggers on drums gives the Killing Devils an amazing hard rock drummer who always has his game face on when performing on stage or in the studio.
Scott Mowry is the innovative bass player who is a frequent visitor to China. His extraordinary bass playing is complimented by the rest of the band.
Influences
Van Halen, Sammy Hagar (best singer on the planet), Genesis (Tony Banks, great keyboards), Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul, Todd Rundgren, Green Day, Rush, Steely Dan, Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Tonic, Queensryche (Operation Mind Crimes kicks ass), BareNaked Ladies, Monty Python (Is that your wife or your dog?), Colonel Sanders (our band religion is Sanderism), Tonic, Debussy (Paul's favorite classical composer), and many others.
Sounds Like
Mostly us with a very Post-Modern sound. Influences are apparent in the sound like the Beatles, Van Halen, Police, Queensryche, Ramones, Foo Fighters, Rush, Steely Dan, Genesis, and many others, except with our own imprint on each original song that creates a very Post-Modern Sound. To us, age does not mean if its old or new, it is more an awareness of the music that has already been recorded in the past and trying to do something new.
The Killing Devils record with Turn Left International Inc., and are booked through "Cool Beans Entertainment" which is a national agency that also books several other famous bands and artists.
World-Class Rock coming to a venue near you and kicking ass with a smile.
Original Progressive Rock band fronted by Paul Brown. The band has recently played shows in St. Louis, Boston, LA and New York.
An amazing band that the "LA Underground Music Exchange-2007" called "The Only Modern American Band to cover every genre well with Paul's unbelievable voice",
the St. Louis Riverfront Times-2006 said “RIGHTEOUS RIFFS: Don’t let the band name Paul Brown and the Killing Devils fool you. Join the GUITAR GODS at Rock Island as they celebrate the release of their epic, eighteen-track CD, Red Spider PB&TKD’s STRIPPED-DOWN GROOVE’LL GET YOU ON THE FLOOR” and
as stated by the NYC Village Voice-December 2007 "Paul's music has been played all over the world. He is a gifted singer, songwriter, and musician with one of the best progressive rock bands on the planet."
In July 2006 the Killing Devils released the critically acclaimed "Red Spider" CD and the band is presently working on their new CD entitled "The Wizard's Dawn."
