Born in 81 – don’t know the details; apparently I’ve been down since day 1. First original joke in 87, “Nipples on boys are just little dials with no function,” I stand by that today. Always did impressions, my heart broke a little when my voice changed and I lost Marge Simpson – haven’t taken it seriously since. Radio announcer in a church play around 93, biggest laughs I may have gotten to date. Nothing much happened for several years; I realized what girls were. 98 wrote a love/blues song with Dustin Zemel, Fat Irene (later covered by local punk group Blue Light Special) by all accounts was a helluva song. Dustin hooked me up with our high school sketch show Friday Morning Live, where I was first called sexist. Mike Curl was our instructor, he got a lot of shit for that class, and I’m still indebted to him to this day. In college I wrote for and acted in a show called Western Live (Kids are pretty derivative when naming sketch shows.), once again called sexist, but this time also racist and whatever you call being anti people with learning disabilities; all are not true. Started doing improv with The Dead Parrot’s Society (again derivative). Graduated, moved to LA, really got into stand up, took classes at the Groundlings, a few failed sketch groups, eventually hooked up with the Comedy Garage . To this day I’m trying to beat the nipple joke.
