MusicOn September 11, 2001 I was hosting the WBAI Morning Show just blocks away from the World Trade Center as the disaster unfolded. I was on air almost continuously for 10 hours reporting before power was cut. I walked to the edge of the smoking ruin a short while after. Later, working with a small group of dedicated professionals I helped get WBAI back on air from a remote location where we continued broadcasting. I went on to become Executive Producer of the Gary Null Show.

About me:

Democratic National Convention 1984 with the Dead Kennedys Moscone Center, San Francisco, California

..

I'm an investigative reporter based in New York City. I currently produce and co-anchor Let Them Talk on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, live Tuesdays at 8 PM on channel 56. Let Them Talk is an interview show with guests highlighting politics, art and culture. I'm also a member of the board of directors of the Yippie Museum at 9 Bleecker St. in New York City. The Yippies were founded in the 1960s by Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Paul Krassner, Stew Albert and others to bring a sense of humor to the anti-Vietnam War movement. Their creative capers included running a pig named Pigasus for President in 1968, organizing a protest to "levitate the Pentagon" and being beat up and arrested by Mayor Richard Daley's cops in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention. The Yippies survive in New York as organizers of various rallies and protests against war of all kinds. The museum and coffee shop is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and has many exhibits and events about the Yippies and their work.

I'm also involved with Pacifica radio, Democracy Now!, WBAI-FM, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, American Urban Radio Networks and WWRL-AM. My work has been published in Penthouse, In These Times, Newsday, the Village Voice, New York Press, various community newspapers, High Times, Heads, Cannabis Culture, Z Magazine, The Guardian, Anderson Valley Advertiser and the Anchorage, Alaska Press. I'm co-author of the book "The Ibogaine Story: Report on the STATEN ISLAND PROJECT" and I've been quoted in numerous books and articles.

Rock Against Reagan Show outside the 1984 Republican National Convention in Dallas. I was there and im doing some research for an article that im writing about it for myspace. com/historyofdallasmusic

You mention on your site that you followed the Rock Against Reagan Tour and reported on it.
Do you have any information that you can send about the Dallas show or anything else that would help? Do you have or know of any pictures or video footage?

i have also requested information from Ben Masel.

Sincere Thanks! ;p

The Ibogaine Story is one of the longest and best books I ever read. You folks worked long and hard to make Ibogaine available in the USA. I study natural medicine, as well as addiction. I think Iboga is the best treatment for addictions to hard drugs. I noticed there is a homeopathic form of it available here. Thank ya'll for your medical research and legal research.

Thanks for the request and for supporting Ms. Roy!

"The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget." - Arundhati Roy

MPP is the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States. Founded in 1995, MPP works to minimize the harm associated with marijuana -- both the consumption of marijuana and the laws that are intended to prohibit its use. MPP believes that the greatest harm associated with marijuana is prison. To this end, MPP focuses on removing criminal penalties for marijuana use, with a particular emphasis on making marijuana medically available to seriously ill people who have the approval of their doctors.

MPP doesn't encourage marijuana use. But our failed marijuana laws cost taxpayers billions of dollars a year, keep police from focusing on real crimes, and fail to keep marijuana away from kids. We believe it's time for a new approach-- taxation and regulation.

Sincerely,

The Marijuana Policy Project
