Paul Evans: Guitars and vocals
Paul keeps his set up quite 'fluid' and sometimes invites other musicians to accompany him. This can be another guitarist/vocalist or a keyboard player to form a duo.
Influences
Paul covers a range of artists including: The Beatles, The Kinks, PP Arnold, The Fratellis, The Zutons, Rod Stewart (when he was cool), The Who, Paul Weller, Oasis, Elvis, The Monkees, Motown, Simon & Garfunkel, Travis... and many more from the 60s to today and all the spaces in between.

HISTORY:
After 'earning his stripes' on the pub and club circuit in the mid 80s in a number of covers bands, Paul went on to perform his own compositions before forming a Motown/Northern Soul/Atlantic/Mod inspired outfit called The Gift in the early to mid 90s. An enormous fan of the Mod scene, and in particular Paul Weller, Paul featured some classic Jam and Weller solo tracks in the set and immediately caught the attention of those who were at the forefront of the emerging tribute scene. Paul's voice was strikingly like Weller's and he delivered his songs with the same conviction, passion, edge and contrasting sensitivity and emotion that characterised Weller's kaleidoscopic ventures into a variety of musical genres including punk, rock, jazz, soul, folk and pop.
The formation of The Paul Weller Experience in 1995 was perfectly timed for the whole tribute scene and Weller's resurgence following the release of his epic Stanley Road LP, and his influence on the Britpop scene. In fact, The Paul Weller Experience actually performed songs from the album before Paul Weller himself had toured with it!
Playing all over the UK and Europe, selling out famous music venues like The Olympia, Dublin, London's Marquee, JBs in Dudley and Rock City, the PWE also played University Tours, Festivals and events before bringing their adventure to an end in 2005. The Empire Belfast saw the PWE take the stage for the final time.
Although Paul has formed a new tribute band to The Jam, Style Council and Paul Weller called all weller (see www.myspace.com/allweller) he enthusiatically continues to perform as a solo artist. From time he teams up with other musicians to offer more depth and variety but is equally at home with just his guitar for company.
